Semen Pidhainyi

(1907-1965)
Publicist, historian, public and political activist of the Ukrainian diaspora. In 1933, he was imprisoned on Solovki for 8 years on a trumped-up case. He survived the imprisonment due to good health and emigrated to the West during the German-Soviet war. He actively participated in the anti-communist movement until the end of his life.
