Chyhyryn is the hetman's capital

This edition is the first comprehensive study on the history of the Hetman's capital - Chyhyryn, which is connected with the times of the National Liberation War of the Ukrainian people of 1648–1658, the times of Ruina and the Haydamak movement. It also covers the history of the Chyhyryn regiment and a number of settlements on its territory (Subotiv, Medvedivka, etc.). The book, which covers events from ancient times to the 19th century, is based on both published and archival sources, sheds light on unknown pages of the historical past of an important region of Ukraine during the Cossack era.
