Due to historical circumstances, a large portion of documentary sources relating to the history of Ukraine from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries is preserved in Russian archives that remain largely inaccessible to Ukrainian researchers. Therefore, bringing these archival treasures into scholarly circulation is of particular importance for a deeper understanding of the dramatic history of the Ukrainian state and the processes that shaped it.

This volume publishes the inventories of the “Little Russian Prikaz” preserved in the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts.
